About Us

How It All Began

Lulu Pup Creations is a very small woman owned business based out of upstate New York and is named after our youngest dog, Little Lulu. We adopted Lulu as a very young puppy back in 2013 after shortly fostering her for Bully Project, a wonderful NYC dog rescue organization. Within three days she quickly bulldozed her way into our hearts and has kept us on our toes ever since. One of her favorite things to do is nosework and work her way to her next reward. She enjoys training, all things food, and snuggling under the covers. Lulu would prefer to be the one and only but has accepted to share her home with our other dog, Orbit and 3 cats; Nemo, Larry, and Wilky Bear.

I started crocheting sweaters and snoods for my dogs to help them stay warm during the cold upstate New York winters while they played outside. I was immediately hooked and it soon became my second favorite thing to do. My first favorite thing being dog training and behavior modification. For more info about my dog training services check out Dot’s Dog Training & Pet Services. After receiving positive comments and feedback from family and friends I decided to make and sell them as a way to help support Lulu’s extracurricular activities she enjoys so much and the rest of our crew’s needs.

We create handmade dog accessories along with some human ones too. Our handmade dog accessories are made to order and can also be fully customized to fit your dog’s size and shape. Whether you have a deep chested dog or a tripod pup, we can work with you on a design. The inspiration for each design is influenced by the colors and textures of the nature around us. I make the accessories keeping a dog's mobility in mind so that our sweaters allow them a fee range of motion, especially on the shoulders. Our dogs suffer from environmental allergies so I also pay attention to the type of yarn I use to maximize comfort level.  For dogs we make handmade crochet dog sweaters, snoods, and flowers to accessorize their collar or as an added embellishment to their accessory. For humans we make hats, messy bun hats (with opening on top), ear warmer headbands, and scarfs that can match your pup’s accessory.

If you have a color in mind that you don’t see on our website send us a message via our contact form and we’ll work with you on a design. We plan to add more products in the future so stay tuned!

Giving Back

I've always held dog rescue close to heart. This is why a percentage of our sales is donated to a 501c3 dog rescue organization. We also occasionally donate a dog sweater or other dog accessory to rescue groups with a dog in need of staying warm and cozy. As we grow we look forward to doing more.
